Tommy Ferrier
Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator supports academic, social, leadership, and recreational programs at Hereford. He acts as the liaison between students, Fellows, and the Hereford Administration.
Tommy is a Charlottesville native and third-generation Hoo. He received a bachelor’s degree in German from the University of Mary Washington (BA ’16). During his undergraduate years Tommy dove headfirst into as many student activities roles as possible, from orientation leader, to campus tour guide, quickly discovering a passion for student affairs work. He began his career as a Student Center Assistant at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California. He soon returned home to UVA though, earning a Master of Education, specializing in Higher Education: Student Affairs (M.Ed. ’20). During his graduate program, Tommy served as the Graduate intern for the Echols Scholars Program, where he enjoyed working directly with students and creating impactful and engaging programing. He’s thrilled to now serve Hereford Residential College as the Program Coordinator, where he can connect with and support a diverse and passionate community of Herefordians. In his free time, Tommy loves gardening and playing with his sheepadoodle, Woog.
